Within our Project Services division, the small works team plays a crucial role in the day-to-day delivery of planned minor works across a diverse range of prisons across our clients sites.

As part of our continued growth, our Project Services division are looking to appoint an experienced Electrician to use their working knowledge of electrical systems to complete project works involving wiring, containment, fault‑finding on existing systems and general electrical systems maintenance.

Further responsibilities of the role include:

• Installation of electrical systems to 18th edition wiring regulations
• Utilise electrical knowledge to troubleshoot and diagnose issues on site
• Undertake site surveys, either alone or with the clients to establish their requirements
• Provide information from surveys to managers.
• Provide professional assessments to the project managers and clients
• Pass on skills and experience to further the development of BJF Group apprentices
• Responsible for the verification and testing (where applicable) including NICEIC testing and certification
• Understand your responsibility for the health, safety and wellbeing of your team and the wider group, whilst promoting a positive health and safety culture throughout
• Promote and live BJF TEAMS values

• Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Installation (2357)
• 18th Edition Full Classroom Course & IET Wiring Regulations (7671)
• CSCS/ECS Card Holder/Skills Card
• AM2
• Testing & Inspection (2391)
