Corporate Tax Accountant
Location: Stamford, CT (Onsite 100%)
Compensation: $90-100k
Our client is an international manufacturing organization looking to expand their Corporate Tax Group. This role offers the opportunity to work within a complex, multi-entity organization supporting tax compliance, tax reporting, and strategic tax initiatives across domestic operations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in corporate taxation and enjoy working in a collaborative environment where they can interact with Finance, Legal, Treasury, and operational teams. This position is well suited for an accounting professional looking to expand their experience in a large-scale corporate setting.
Key Responsibilities- Support the preparation and filing of federal and state corporate income tax returns.
- Assist with quarterly and annual tax provision calculations in accordance with ASC 740.
- Prepare supporting schedules, tax work papers, and related documentation.
- Coordinate with business units to gather data required for tax filings and reporting.
- Analyze state apportionment information and maintain tax registration and nexus records.
- Partner with Treasury to facilitate tax payments, estimates, and extension filings.
- Assist with federal, state, and local tax examinations and inquiries.
- Contribute to tax planning initiatives, process improvements, and special projects.
- Research tax matters and assist in evaluating the impact of regulatory changes.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Accounting, Finance, Treasury, and Legal teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
- 3+ years of corporate tax experience, either in public accounting or industry.
- Experience preparing federal and state income tax returns.
- Familiarity with ASC 740 tax provision calculations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a dynamic environment.
- CPA designation or advanced degree is a plus.
