We are looking for an Office Administrative Clerk to join our team in Stamford, Connecticut. In this Contract to permanent position, you will handle essential administrative tasks, ensuring smooth office operations and supporting key accounting functions. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a detail-oriented environment and enjoys working collaboratively across teams, background with SAGE is a plus!
Responsibilities:
- Process and manage accounts receivable tasks, including generating accurate client invoices and following up on collections.
- Handle accounts payable functions, such as reviewing vendor invoices and ensuring timely payments.
- Perform data entry and maintain organized records of financial transactions and supporting documents.
- Scan and organize documents to ensure efficient access to files and information.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate billing for services and projects.
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Provide back-office support to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Communicate effectively with vendors and clients to maintain strong working relationships.
- Assist with ad hoc administrative and accounting projects as needed.
- Support the preparation of journal entries and monthly accruals.
Requirements - Previous experience in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.
- Proficiency in data entry and document scanning.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teams and communicate effectively.
- Familiarity with accounting systems and general office software.
- Experience in maintaining accurate financial records and resolving discrepancies.
- Capacity to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
