As our Pediatric Front Desk Specialist, you'll be the first smile our families see and the first voice they hear.
Your responsibilities include:
- Welcome patients and families with warmth and professionalism
- Answer a high-volume, multi-line phone system and assist callers courteously
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments
- Verify insurance eligibility and collect accurate demographic information
- Register new patients and update electronic medical records (eCW experience is a plus)
- Collect copays and balances while explaining office policies
- Process referrals, forms, and incoming documents
- Communicate effectively with providers and clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow
- Assist families with the patient portal and registration forms
- Keep the reception area organized, welcoming, and child-friendly
- Perform additional administrative tasks to support daily office operations
- Has exceptional customer service skills
- Enjoys working with children and families
- Stays calm and organized in a busy environment
- Can multitask while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Is dependable, positive, and a team player
- Communicates professionally in person and over the phone
- Takes initiative and enjoys solving problems
- Pediatric office experience is a plus
- Spanish-speaking preferred
- Experience with electronic medical records (eCW preferred)
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and basic computer applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required
