The Merchandising Operations Assistant supports day-to-day business operations by coordinating pricing activities, maintaining business data, preparing reports, improving processes, and serving as a key link between Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, Customer Service, and Commercial teams. This role combines analytical support with operational execution to help drive business efficiency, data accuracy, customer satisfaction, and profitable growth.
What you’ll do:Pricing Administration
- Maintain customer, product, and channel pricing in ERP and pricing systems.
- Execute price updates, promotional pricing, and list price changes.
- Validate pricing accuracy and resolve pricing discrepancies.
- Support annual and ad hoc price increase processes.
- Manage pricing documentation and approval workflows.
- Coordinate vendor requests, documentation, and follow-up activities to ensure project timelines are met.
- Support margin, profitability, and pricing analyses.
- Coordinate operational activities across multiple departments.
- Assist with project tracking, process documentation, and workflow management.
- Help maintain accurate master data across ERP and reporting systems.
- Prepare recurring pricing, margin, and profitability reports.
- Investigate data discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
- Analyze pricing trends, sales performance, and customer profitability.
- Support pricing strategy evaluations through data collection and analysis.
- Identify pricing anomalies and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide ad hoc analysis for management decision-making.
- Monitor competitor pricing and market conditions.
- Conduct research to support pricing recommendations.
- Track customer and market feedback related to pricing.
- Maintain competitive pricing databases and dashboards.
- Partner with Merchandising, Planning, Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Category Management teams.
- Respond to pricing inquiries from internal stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement and productivity projects.
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and reduce manual effort.
- Assist in developing standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Support system enhancements, testing, and process implementation efforts.
- Promote data quality and operational excellence.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in pricing, sales operations, business analysis, finance, merchandising, or a related analytical role.
- Experience working with large datasets and business reporting preferred.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and basic data analysis.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
