About

The Role

The Manager of Wholesale Merchandising will optimize assortments across Rhone’s wholesale accounts through weekly business analysis, identifying opportunities and ensuring product is positioned and merchandised at a premium level. This role will also lead Rhone’s product relationship with San Mar, managing the product catalog and coordinating assortment, sizing, and program updates. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about apparel, with advanced Excel skills and the ability to quickly analyze data and adapt in a fast-paced, growing environment.

What

You’ll Do
  • Build seasonal wholesale assortments by channel and account tier, aligned to Rhone's Good/Better/Best distribution framework and company margin targets.

  • Partner with sales leadership to translate account-level strategy into merchandising plans that support both revenue and brand-positioning goals.

  • Analyze sell-through, market trends, and account performance to inform buy recommendations and in-season adjustments

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Merchandising, Planning, and Sales to align product flow, pricing, and assortment to the wholesale calendar

  • Serve as the Rhone product team lead for San Mar, owning the product catalog, program setup, and ongoing cross-functional coordination for that relationship.

  • Develop account-specific assortment recommendations for top-tier partners, balancing brand elevation with commercial performance

  • Present assortment strategy and rationale to internal leadership and, at times, wholesale partners directly

  • Monitor the competitive landscape and channel trends to keep Rhone's wholesale offering distinct and relevant

  • Support seasonal line reviews, sample coordination, go-to-market timelines, NuOrder style and linesheet creation with Merchandising assistants

  • Partner with Planning and Allocation to determine buy depth, flow, and replenishment strategies by account.

  • Run point on San Mar development both internally and externally with the San Mar teams

  • Help maintain the Merchandising team's database tools, including but not limited to the product lifecycle management system (PLM), enterprise planning system (ERP), business intelligence system (BI), EDI/account portals, selling templates and reports, and assortment sheets, with emphasis on Men's and Women's product tiered to wholesale accounts.

What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience with a deep interest in wholesale merchandising/buying and a passion for product.

  • 4-5 years minimum of corporate merchandising experience.

  • Wholesale or major account experience in apparel is a plus.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel.

  • Precise attention to detail, with established time management and organizational skills.

  • Ability to maintain a high level of enthusiasm, motivation and a positive attitude in a high pressure, fast paced environment.

  • Self-starter mentality, with ability to work independently as well as in group settings.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Capability to build strong partnerships and to work collaboratively to achieve goals, including resolving conflict to get to a decision.
