Framing Superintendent
The Superintendent role is primarily responsible for the successful execution of site‑specific activities required for project completion. Duties include scheduling, forecasting, budgeting, scope creation and management, inventory management, and all related office and reporting activities.
Responsibilities- Coordinate and supervise all construction activities for the entire project.
- Coordinate and communicate with the Project Management Team to help ensure project success.
- Direct field personnel to achieve on‑time, on‑budget completion with quality workmanship that conforms to plans and specifications.
- Prepare and maintain the project schedule and supervise through final completion.
- Identify potential issues and provide realistic solutions to the Project Management Team to maintain the construction schedule.
- Inspect or direct the inspection of all contracted work to ensure compliance with contract agreements and local jurisdiction requirements.
- Coordinate and schedule all required municipal inspections.
- Coordinate, schedule and supervise all required utility company activities.
- Coordinate site testing and inspection efforts as agreed with Owners.
- Work with Project Engineers and Project Managers to reserve and coordinate material deliveries.
- Maintain positive relationships with all Garrett Companies personnel, the design team, contractors, suppliers, subcontractors, and municipal representatives.
- Promote job site safety, encourage safe work practices, and rectify hazards immediately.
- Demonstrate commitment to an injury‑free environment through actions and mentoring.
- Prepare and submit daily reports documenting weather, field conditions, trade and subcontractor manpower, progress, and any incident reports.
- Coordinate weekly subcontractor meetings.
- Provide bi‑weekly two‑week progress reports to the Project Management Team.
- Assist in running monthly progress meetings with the Project Management Team and subcontractors.
- Provide training and education to field personnel as needed.
- Maintain an organized job site and construction office.
- Foster a positive work environment that supports professional growth.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
- Report to the Director of Construction.
- Work closely with Project Engineers and Project Managers for each active site.
- Actively manage projects until completion.
- Perform any other duties assigned by The Garrett Companies.
- Previous experience managing multiple multi‑family construction projects.
- Positive attitude and relentless problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to anticipate challenges and provide solutions quickly.
- Willingness to work at all levels as a “broom pusher.”
- Field position that travels to active project sites and markets within a specified region.
- Ability to climb up to four flights of stairs and walk several acres to inspect the community.
- Ability to lift 50–75 lbs. daily; adapt to inclement weather.
- Possibly operate heavy equipment; perform physical work such as moving furniture and equipment, raking, shoveling, climbing, and standing for long periods.

- Two‑day onboarding in Indianapolis.
