Job Description
Insight Global's client, a mission-driven affordable housing and community development organization in Stamford, CT, is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join their Real Estate Development team.
This individual will support development, renovation, capital improvement, and construction projects from planning through execution while working alongside experienced professionals in real estate development, architecture, engineering, and construction.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with project management, construction, architecture, engineering, facilities, property management, or real estate experience who is looking to build a long-term career in real estate development and affordable housing.
The Assistant Project Manager will help coordinate multiple active development and construction projects, working closely with internal departments, architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, and ownership stakeholders.
The ideal candidate is organized, collaborative, detail-oriented, and enjoys building relationships across teams. This role offers mentorship, exposure to the full project lifecycle, and the opportunity to grow into increased responsibility over time.
Key Responsibilities:Project Coordination
- Support the execution of affordable housing development, renovation, and capital improvement projects
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders
- Assist in tracking project schedules, milestones, deadlines, and deliverables
- Participate in project meetings and maintain follow-up items and documentation
- Support communication between various project stakeholders
- Assist with preparation of Requests for Proposals (RFPs), scopes of work, and procurement documents
- Review consultant and contractor proposals
- Support contract administration, change orders, and project documentation
- Review invoices, pay applications, project budgets, and project approvals
- Maintain organized project records and documentation
- Attend periodic site visits and construction meetings
- Support active construction and renovation projects
- Gain exposure to project planning, project funding, and development activities
- Assist in identifying project risks and coordinating solutions with project teams
- Build strong relationships with contractors, architects, engineers, consultants, and internal departments
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
- Assist with problem-solving and conflict resolution efforts
- Support a collaborative and mission-focused project environment

- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Real Estate, Business Administration, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in project coordination, project management, construction, engineering, architecture, facilities, property management, real estate, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build relationships with multiple stakeholders and work collaboratively across teams.
- Strong organization, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
- Interest in construction, real estate development, affordable housing, or community development.
- Experience supporting construction, renovation, capital improvement, or development projects.
- Background in architecture, engineering, construction management, real estate development, facilities, or property management.
- Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft…
