The YES Network, America’s pre-eminent regional sports network, owns the exclusive regional media rights to the 27-time World Champion New York Yankees and the Brooklyn Nets. In addition to live Yankees and Nets games and related pregame and postgame coverage, YES televises numerous Yankees- and Nets-themed original programs such as its Homegrown series, The Stadium, Yankees Magazine and Nets Magazine.

The network also airs Yankees minor league games, original biography, interview and magazine programs, college sports and AC Milan soccer. YES has earned 161 Emmy Awards since its 2002 launch.

About the Role
: YES Network is seeking a skilled Video Editor to join our Creative Services team. Collaborating closely with Creative Directors, writers, and producers, this role will combine technical expertise with a refined editorial sensibility to deliver award-winning creative campaigns that move the needle and elicit emotion from fans. This role is ideal for an experienced editor who also boasts producer-writer-ideator skills and has a passion for sports marketing and a fresh editorial eye for crafting elevated promos, sizzles, and other creative content across linear broadcast, streaming/DTC, digital, and social platforms.

This is an amazing opportunity to help shape YES’ brand voice through the creation of video assets featuring New York Yankees and Brooklyn Nets footage and players, in addition to the multitude of studio shows and original series in our programming portfolio.

• Editing high production-value promos, trailers, sizzles, and digital content across streaming, broadcast, digital, and social platforms.
• Translating footage into compelling narratives, strategically using music, VO, dialogue, and graphics to enhance emotional impact.
• Assisting with editorial vision on creative campaigns; interpreting creative briefs, participating in brainstorm sessions, and offering creative insights.
• Collaborating closely with Creative Directors, writers, designers, and producers to develop inventive editorial approaches that align with strategic and brand goals.
• Delivering finished projects, including color correction, graphics integration, and sound design and mixing.
• Optimizing edits for platform-specific requirements, adapting creative for broadcast, digital, and social—including aspect ratios, runtimes, specs, and compression needs.
• QC’ing all versions and cutdowns to maintain continuity, technical integrity, and brand consistency across every output.
• Staying current with editorial trends, tools, and techniques, bringing fresh ideas and innovations to elevate the quality and efficiency of the team’s work.

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a creative editor in a network, agency or post-production facility.

• Experienced with AVID Media Composer and Adobe Premiere.
• Working knowledge of After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Media Encoder, and Avid Interplay a plus.
• Understanding of digital video formats and technical specs (frame rates, codecs, resolutions).
• Knowledge of cross-platform video best practices, including optimization and delivery specs for broadcast, digital, and social.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, delivering high-quality work under compressed deadlines.
