O&G Industries, Inc., an innovative and diversified construction company based out of Torrington, CT, is seeking a Scale House Operator to join our team at our Stamford (Canal Street) location
. We are a highly respected leader in our field and ranked as one of the top construction firms in the Northeast.
This role is essential to supporting our daily operations by ensuring accurate truck weighing, efficient customer transactions, and organized recordkeeping in a fast‑paced construction environment.
The hours for this position are Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Overtime may be required during peak construction season.
Responsibilities- Weigh incoming and outgoing customer trucks and issue proof of purchase
- Process and collect customer payments
- Prepare and maintain daily load summaries and transaction records
- Track and maintain time and material documentation
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls
- Provide general administrative and operational support as needed
- Proficiency with basic computer applications and office systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment
- Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
