Location:
Stamford – 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9.00am – 5.15pm

TheOpportunity
We are looking for a Trainee Customer Service Adviser to join our friendly and supportive team in Stamford. No previous insurance experience is required – we provide full training and ongoing development to help you build a successful career. This is an excellent opportunity if you are looking to start your career in customer service, sales, or financial services.
What You’ll Be Doing- Manage inbound customer enquiries and deliver a high‑quality, professional service
- Generate and convert new business opportunities through effective questioning and rapport‑building
- Actively promote and sell insurance products, contributing to individual and team targets
- Build and maintain long‑term client relationships
- Identify cross‑selling opportunities across the NFU Mutual product range
- Support customers with policy changes, renewals and queries
- Process financial transactions accurately and efficiently
- A strong interest in sales, customer service or financial services
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence handling conversations both in person and over the phone
- A proactive, target‑driven mindset
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- The ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge in a commercial environment
- Competency with IT systems
