We are seeking a warm, polished, and service-driven Fitness Front Desk Associate to join our team on a part-time basis (18 hours per week). This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys connecting with people, and takes pride in delivering outstanding hospitality.
As one of the first and last points of contact for our members, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming, seamless, and memorable experience. From greeting members and managing check-ins to assisting with bookings for personal training, massage services, and club offerings, you will help ensure each member leaves feeling valued and excited to return.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is organized, personable, proactive, and passionate about health, fitness, and community.
Schedule:
18 hours per week (three 6-hour shifts):
Mondays: 4:00 PM – 10:00 PMFridays: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PMSundays: 1:00 PM – 7:00 PM Compensation: $17 - $18 per hour, based on experience
Primary Responsibilities Deliver exceptional service aligned with Chelsea Piers hospitality standards
Greet members and guests with warmth, professionalism, and enthusiasm
Manage front desk check-ins and provide concierge-style assistance
Schedule ancillary services such as personal training, massage, and other offerings
Answer and direct phone calls with professionalism and strong phone etiquette
Respond to member requests promptly and effectively
Maintain knowledge of club programs, services, and daily events
Support a clean, organized, and polished front desk environment
Monitor visitor access and maintain security awareness
Communicate effectively with teammates and departments across the facility
Assist with special projects and operational needs as assigned by leadership
Uphold all uniform, appearance, and handbook standards6+ months of customer service, hospitality, or related experience preferred
Friendly, professional, and dependable demeanor
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Passion for health, wellness, sports, or fitness environments
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Positive attitude with a willingness to take initiative
Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach
Comfortable communicating in person, by phone, and via email
Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar software preferred
Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs Benefits
