Role DescriptionThis is a full‑time on‑site position as a Designer Consultant at Safavieh's Stamford, CT location. The Designer Consultant will assist clients in creating personalized designs for their spaces, leveraging expertise in home furnishings to recommend suitable products and solutions. This role involves meeting with clients, drafting design proposals, maintaining up‑to‑date knowledge of current design trends, and providing excellent customer service to ensure customer satisfaction.
The Designer Consultant will also collaborate with the sales and inventory teams to meet sales goals and maintain showroom presentation standards.
- Proficiency in interior design, space planning, and color coordination
- Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to provide tailored design solutions based on client preferences and needs
- Knowledge of furniture, home accessories, and current design trends
- Experience in retail or sales, preferably in the home furnishings or design industry
- Proficient in design-related software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Sketch Up, or similar)
- Proactive attitude with strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Interior Design or related field preferred
