Job Description:
As a Special Education Teacher at Meliora Academy, you will create individualized learning experiences that help students grow academically, socially, and emotionally. You'll design and implement instruction tailored to each student's unique needs, using research-based interventions and collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure every student thrives.
What You'll Need
* Comprehensive Special Education (CT 165) certification
* Experience developing and implementing IEPs and progress reports
* Strong knowledge of evidence-based instructional and behavioral strategies
* Excellent communication, collaboration, and organization skills
* Current Safety Care, First Aid, and CPR certifications (or willingness to obtain)
What You'll Do
* Develop and implement IEPs aligned with each student's goals and needs
* Adapt and deliver curriculum using research-based teaching methods
* Collaborate with BCBAs, therapists, and related service providers to ensure cohesive support
* Supervise and train classroom staff in instructional and behavioral techniques
* Track and report student data and progress accurately and on time
