GENERAL STATEMENT

The Learner and Engagement Attendance Program/Home Visiting/Student Engagement Initiative (LEAP) has been proven to greatly enhance school/family communication and relationships. Proven student outcomes include better attendance and achievement. We are launching efforts to engage with a parent or guardian of students with prior absences (10-20%) for the purpose of strengthening the school-family relationship in a positive and relational manner.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conduct phone calls to schedule visits with parents or caretakers
  • Attend Professional Development (as needed)
  • Attend Debrief meetings (as needed)
  • Conduct at least 5 visits a week either in the home or a location in the community with the parents/guardians of disengaged and disconnected students
  • Must commit to visit a minimum of 5 students per week
  • Complete necessary reporting for this project
  • Work collaboratively with school personnel
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Knowledge of, or willingness to be trained in the LEAP Project
  • Previous experience engaging with families in a home-setting environment
  • Bilingual preferable but not required
  • Passionate about working with families & students
  • Demonstrates capacity to work cooperatively with others
WORK HOURS

Monday January 2026 through June 2026. Project Hours up to 25 hours per week (can be performed on evenings and weekends).
