Cottontails Childcare & Learning Center is looking caring, nurturing, and energetic Early Childhood Education Teachers to join their premier preschool in Stamford, CT.

  • These are Direct Hire positions with the school
  • Full-time;
    Monday-Friday; year-round employment
Open Positions
  • Lead Infant Teacher- working with children 3-months- to 15-months-old and the schedule can be flexible between 7:30am-6:00pm
  • Lead Toddler Teacher- working with children 1- to 2-years-old and the schedule is 8:00am-5:00pm and 8:30am-5:30pm
  • Lead Preschool Teacher- working with children 3- to 4-years-old and the schedule is 8:00am-5:00pm
  • Infant Floater- working with children 3-months- to 15-months-old and the schedule can be flexible between 7:30am-6:00pm
Salary
  • Lead Teachers: $20.00-$25.00/hour pending education, credentials, and professional Early Childhood Education experience
  • Floaters: $18.00-$22.00/hour pending education, credentials, and professional Early Childhood Education experience

Responsibilities
  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children
  • Responsible for the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities and curriculum as well as the maintenance of educational portfolios
  • Supervise and engage children in educational and play activities
  • Maintain a clean and organized classroom
  • Monitor and ensure the well-being of each child in your care
  • Communicate with parents about their child's progress and any concerns
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a positive learning environment
  • Participate in training sessions, workshops, and staff meetings to enhance your skills and stay updated on best practices in early childhood education
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18-years-old
  • REQUIRED Lead Preschool Teacher

    Education:

    Associate's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or an education-related field
  • REQUIRED Education for all other positions: HS Diploma or GED
  • PREFERRED Experience: At least 2-years of experience working with children 3-months to 4-years-old in a licensed Early Childhood Education facility
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations – for Infant and Young Toddler Teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib
  • Must meet background check eligibility
