Position Title: Summer LEAP Home Visitor (Internal Only)
Anticipated Dates: June 22, 2026 – August 24, 2026
Hours: Flexible scheduling (up to 20 hours per week), includes late afternoons and weekends to accommodate working families.
Compensation: (Per Contract) Funded via LEAP Grant.
Position OverviewStamford Public Schools is seeking experienced, currently trained LEAP Home Visitors to continue critical family engagement and attendance outreach through the summer months. Visitors will conduct relational home visits to support summer school attendance and build early connections with high-risk families transitioning into the school year.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct in-person, equity-centered home visits to designated families from all schools, with an emphasis on incoming kindergartners, rising 6th and 9th graders who had high absenteeism in elementary/middle school.
- Connect families with summer learning and community resources and back-to-school preparations.
- Accurately log all summer visits into the state tracker system right after completing the visit.
- Must be a current Stamford Public Schools employee.
- Must have successfully conducted LEAP home visits during the 2025–2026 school year.
- Bilingual skills (Spanish/Haitian Creole) are highly preferred.
