General StatementPermanent Building Substitute Teachers will be assigned to a school for the academic year. They will replace teachers on either a daily or long-term basis, and are responsible for the continuation of all learning activities in the classroom.
QualificationsPermanent Building Substitute Teachers are required to hold at least a bachelor's degree from an accredited college. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience, who hold a Connecticut Teaching Certification, and those enrolled in Educator Prep Programs.
Note: Teachers dually certified in TESOL, Bilingual Education or ESL, with experience in Sheltered Instruction or fluency in a language other than English, will be given preference for all Stamford Public School positions.
