Wright Technical High School , Stamford, CT.
To be considered for this position, School Counselors must posses an active State of Connecticut certificate:
Endorsement 068. You may verify your credentials are up-to-date here . Those who hold a Masters degree in School Counseling may be considered for this role with a Durational Shortage Area Permit (DSAP.) Through exemplary trade and academic programming, CTECS prepares trade-bound students to meet the skilled workforce needs in Connecticut. HIGHLIGHTS
- SCHEDULE : first shift, full time (35 hours per week) Monday through Friday.
- LOCATION : J.M. Wright Technical High School , Stamford, CT
- SALARY : VS02, derived from the State Vocational Federation of Teachers .
- ACADEMIC CALENDAR : CTECS follows a ten-month academic calendar (188 days per year.)
- Option to maintain State of Connecticut Teacher Retirement Plan or enroll in the State Employee Retirement System

CTECS operates 17 diploma-granting technical high schools, one technical education center and two airframe mechanics and aircraft maintenance programs. A CTECS School counselor is responsible for implementing a developmentally appropriate, comprehensive, preventative, school counseling program that covers the academic, career, and social emotional domains and is aligned with the CT Comprehensive School Counseling Framework and ASCA professional school counselor standards, ethical standards, and Mindsets & Behaviors. School counselors work to maximize and support student success, while promoting access and equity to education for all students.
As vital members of the school leadership team, school counselors contribute to a school culture of success for all.
