Special Education Teacher

Key Responsibilities:

• Present and participate in IEP meetings, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
• Regularly assess student progress and manage goal tracking to ensure academic and developmental advancement
• Conduct student testing as necessary to inform educational strategies
• Maintain accurate records and facilitate communication between staff and families
• Focus on classroom teaching; all case management is managed by district-level administration

Qualifications:

• Valid Connecticut Special Education Endorsement
• Minimum of 2 years of recent classroom teaching experience in special education
• Demonstrated ability to create and implement effective IEPs
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
