We are seeking a Plumbing & Fire Protection Engineer with 0–3 years of experience who is motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to develop technically within a fast-paced consulting engineering environment. You will work closely with firm leadership and senior engineers while gaining exposure to all phases of design, coordination, and project delivery.
This role is ideal for:- A recent graduate or early-career engineer looking to build a strong technical foundation in plumbing and fire protection systems design
- An individual who enjoys hands-on design, coordination, and problem-solving within a collaborative environment
- Assist with the design of plumbing and fire protection systems for a variety of building types
- Support hydraulic calculations, pipe sizing, and system layout development for fire protection systems
- Assist with plumbing system layouts including domestic water, sanitary, vent, and storm piping systems
- Prepare construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD
- Participate in investigative field surveys, project coordination meetings, and construction site visits
- Coordinate with architects and other engineering disciplines under the guidance of senior engineering staff
- Participate in all project phases including SD, DD, CD, and CA while developing technical and project coordination skills
- Assist with construction administration tasks including responding to RFIs and reviewing submittals
- 0–3 years of experience in plumbing/fire protection design, drafting, BIM/modeling, or related internship experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred
- Familiarity with Revit and AutoCAD preferred
- Interest in plumbing and fire protection systems design and coordination
- Strong communication, organization, and coordination skills
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or progress toward licensure is a plus
