The Stamford JCC Performing Arts Department is seeking a passionate and talented individual to join the production team of our SPRING MUSICAL as SOUND BOARD OPERATOR. The Sound Board Op will mix microphone levels and execute sound cues/backing tracks for Singin ' in the Rain JR during the tech, dress rehearsal, and performance on April 18 & 19, 2026.
Responsibilities:- Operate the sound board during tech and the performance, manage microphone levels, and execute licensed sound cues/backing tracks.
- Be available for all tech (4/1/8/26) and the performance (4/19/26) in Stamford, CT.
- Tech our show (run time: approx. 60 minutes) in 8 hours.
- Have patience and a good attitude (working with children!).
- Have one preliminary meeting with the production team.
- Experience working with school-aged students preferred.
- 3 years of professional experience or proficient undergraduate experience.
- Proficiency in sound control systems.
- Must have experience managing microphone volume levels and mixing to produce high sound quality during performance.
- Ability to liaise in a professional manner with performers and crew.
Salary begins at $500; additional compensation commensurate with experience.
