Sound Board Operator, Stamford JCC Musical

The Stamford JCC Performing Arts Department is seeking a passionate and talented individual to join the production team of our SPRING MUSICAL as S OUND BOARD OPERATOR. The Sound Board Op will mix microphone levels and execute sound cues/backing tracks for Singin ' in the Rain JR during the tech, dress rehearsal, and performance on APRIL 18 & 19, 2026.

• Operate the sound board during tech and performance, manage microphone levels, and execute licensed sound cues/backing tracks.
• Be available for all tech (4/1 – 8/26) and the performance (4/19/26) in Stamford, CT.
• Teardown show (runtime approx. 60 minutes) in 8 hours.
• Have patience and a good attitude (working with children!).
• Have one preliminary meeting with the production team.

• Experience working with school‑aged students preferred.
• 3 years of professional experience or proficiency as an undergraduate.
• Proficiency in sound control systems.
• Must have experience managing microphone volume levels and mixing to produce high sound quality during performance.
• Ability to liaise in a professional manner with performers and crew.

Salary begins at $500; additional compensation commensurate with experience.
