Job Description & How to Apply Below

A high-growth alternative investments platform is hiring a VP, Hedge Fund Accounting to lead a fund accounting team supporting a rapidly expanding hedge fund business. This is a hands‑on leadership role overseeing fund accounting and investor reporting across fund-of-funds, access funds, and direct hedge fund vehicles, in partnership with third‑party administrators and service providers.

What you’ll be doing
  • Lead and develop an accounting team responsible for hedge fund vehicles (FoF, access, direct)
  • Own oversight of fund accounting and investor reporting, including capital activity, partner capital statements, audited financials, and tax deliverables
  • Manage relationships with fund administrators, underlying managers, custodians, banks, and distributors
  • Drive process improvement and operational scale, including automation and enhancements to reporting and controls
  • Support new fund launches: structuring, setup, onboarding, and ongoing operational readiness
  • Monitor fund compliance with governing documents and coordinate with Legal/Compliance on regulatory requirements (e.g., SEC/FINRA as applicable)
  • Oversee cash and liquidity monitoring, reconciliations, AP, and expense allocations
  • Maintain and continuously improve policies, procedures, and operating playbooks
  • Partner cross-functionally with Investor Relations, Product, Technology, Sales/Marketing, and Compliance
What they’re looking for
  • Strong fund accounting background from either an asset manager or fund administrator
  • Experience with hedge funds and/or private equity structures, ideally including feeder funds and fund-of-funds
  • 9+ years of relevant experience (flexible for strong profiles)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Advanced Excel skills; comfort working in a fast‑paced, high-accountability environment
  • CPA or similar credential is a plus
  • Leadership mindset: able to manage a team while staying close to the work
Why it’s worth a look
  • High visibility seat in a growing alternatives business
  • Blend of fund accounting leadership + operational buildout/process improvement
  • Competitive compensation structure (base + bonus + equity) and strong benefits
