Work at the core of our US gas trading journey.

At InCommodities, we rethink how data, technology, and deep market insight come together in energy trading. We’re growing our North American Natural Gas desk and are looking for a Natural Gas Fundamental Analyst who’s ready to build models that matter and turn fundamentals into real trading decisions. This is a role with impact – close to the market, close to the traders, and close to the PnL.

What

you’ll do
  • You build and maintain regional quantitative supply-demand models for North American natural gas
  • You develop and continuously improve production, storage, and demand forecasts
  • You create analysis and tools that support and fine-tune algorithmic trading strategies, in close collaboration with traders and software developers
  • You run back-testing and validation of trading strategies to ensure models are robust before they hit the market
  • You ensure high quality and reliability of the data feeding our trading and forecasting models
Your Team

You’ll be part of our Natural Gas Trading team in North America, working closely with colleagues across Stamford and Aarhus. The team brings together traders, analysts, software developers, and a meteorologist – all focused on building advanced, data-driven trading strategies for financial gas products on CME and ICE. We work with fast feedback loops, direct access to decision-makers, and a strong sense of ownership.

What you bring
  • You have 3–5 years of experience within commodities fundamental analysis, ideally in natural gas
  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or another quantitative field
  • You have a strong quantitative toolbox within statistics, econometrics, data science, or applied mathematics
  • You’re a confident Python user and comfortable working with data and models in production
How you work
  • You’re detail-oriented and quality-conscious – because small errors can have big consequences
  • You thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment close to the trading desk
  • You’re curious by nature and constantly look for better ways to model, forecast, and analyze
  • You’re confident sharing insights, challenging assumptions, and contributing to team decisions
  • You collaborate openly across teams and take ownership of your work
What you can expect from us

You’ll join with a steep learning curve supported by a thorough onboarding program that sets you up for success from day one. From there, you’ll enjoy a high level of autonomy, working alongside exceptional colleagues who are bold, honest, ambitious, and among the smartest in their fields. Our culture is unique—we live our values of Honesty, Transparency, and Rethink, and we do it without rigid hierarchies or dress codes.

Along the way, you’ll take part in great events, both within your team and across the organization, and you’ll have the chance to grow on both a professional and personal level.

We’re InCommodities North America – and we’re building the full energy trading value chain across US power and gas.

We’ve been trading power in US markets since 2020. Now we’re scaling up – expanding into gas, growing our local teams, and opening new offices across the US.

What sets us apart is our Energy Tech edge. We combine deep market expertise with advanced technology, quantitative models, and a data-driven mindset to trade smarter, faster, and t’s how we move energy where it’s needed, 24/7/365 – and why we attract ambitious people who want to rethink the future of energy trading.

Our culture is simple: entrepreneurial, flat, and hands-on. You’ll get autonomy and trust from day one – and the responsibility to make an impact. We value initiative over titles, thrive in change, and back each other in building one of the most ambitious energy trading companies in North America - with the strength of a global platform behind us.

A people-first culture

At InCommodities, we win as a team. You’ll work alongside bold, honest, and ambitious people who challenge each other to grow – and get better every day.
Autonomy is real here, and it comes with trust. You’re expected to take ownership and make decisions that move InCommodities forward. Not by asking for permission, but by working with the right people to get it right. You’ve got freedom – and a strong team to back you up.
We care about personal and cultural fit. Not because we expect everyone to be the same, but because we’re building a place where people genuinely enjoy working – and want to stick around.
Expect a casual vibe. We keep a flat hierarchy, no dress code, and no corporate red tape to slow you down. Just trust, teamwork, and a healthy dose of fun along the way. And yes, we like to hang out outside office hours as well.
