Payroll Manager

Payroll Manager – Stamford, Hybrid – $115–130k + Bonus

We’re looking for a Payroll Manager to own payroll for our US & Canada teams, ensuring every paycheck is accurate, on time, and fully compliant. This is a critical role where your expertise will keep our people and our numbers happy.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead the full payroll cycle, including timesheet validation, adjustments, and variable pay for new and departing staff.
• Serve as the main contact for external tax filing partners and ensure all services meet SLAs.
• Oversee compliance and audits—quarterly/annual reporting, payroll documentation, and internal controls.
• Support employees with clear explanations of pay slips and process updates.
• Partner with Accounting to reconcile payroll journals in the general ledger.
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve payroll processes.

What We’re Looking For:

• 5+ years in high-volume payroll and benefits, ideally in a large-scale or global organization.
• Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, HR, or related field; CPP or similar certification a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, manual calculations) and experience with enterprise payroll/ERP systems.
• Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll compliance and tax reporting.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and deadline-driven skills.
