A Boutique Fund Administrator is seeking an experienced professional to join their Fund Services team as a Fund Accountant.
Responsibilities- Calculate and review capital contributions and distributions, management fees, monthly cash reconciliations, expense reports, and income allocations to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Develop and analyze quarterly incentive allocation models in accordance with partnership agreements
- Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements—including Statements of Assets and Liabilities/Partners’ Capital, Operations, Partners’ Capital, Cash Flows, and related footnotes—as well as supplemental management reporting and performance metrics
- Process investment and expense wire transactions and generate quarterly invoices for portfolio companies
- Assemble audit documentation and liaise with auditors during interim and year-end audit processes
- Facilitate investor communications, including capital calls, distributions, and capital account statements, through the client’s investor portal
- Address investor inquiries and information requests in partnership with the client
- Oversee project timelines and deliverables, and participate in recurring client calls to coordinate on capital activity and evolving priorities
- Develop expertise in core systems and tools, including Investran and CRM platforms
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field (CPA preferred but not required)
- 1–3 years of public accounting experience, any industry
- Proven ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic setting while managing multiple priorities simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail with a consistent track record of meeting deadlines
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including creating and maintaining complex spreadsheets
- Familiarity with Investran is advantageous, though not required
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach
- Willingness to take initiative and support additional ad hoc projects as needed
- Demonstrated integrity and commitment to high ethical standards
