Help transform a longstanding blue-collar services company into a more modern PE backed company. You'll join the Executive Leadership Team and build a financial foundation that's disciplined, accurate, and ready to scale. This is your chance to work closely with the CEO while getting your hands dirty building the systems and processes we need to grow.
What You'll Do- Oversee the monthly close, general ledger, reconciliations, and internal controls
- Deliver clean, timely P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements
- Ensure GAAP compliance and bank reporting requirements
- Be a thought partner to the CEO on growth, margins, and resource allocation
- Lead annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial modeling
- Build KPIs and dashboards that drive accountability
- Provide financial analysis to support pricing and decision-making
- Lead the Accounting team with clear expectations
- Partner with Operations to turn financial data into actionable insights
- Model our values and build a culture of accuracy, transparency, and continuous improvement
- Improve financial systems and workflows for scale and accuracy
- Manage treasury, cash planning, and banking relationships
- Oversee IT policies and standards (mobile devices, access, security)
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, lender covenants, and union obligations
- Present financials, risks, and opportunities to the Board
- Partner with the CEO on financial strategy and capital allocation
- Communicate clearly with owners, lenders, and external partners
Education:
- Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA strongly preferred; MBA a plus
- 8+ years in accounting and finance
- Hands‑on with budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis that support operations
- PE experience helpful
- Experience with leveraged capital structures, bank debt, covenant monitoring, and lender communications desired
- Strong GAAP expertise with ownership of financial reporting
- Comfortable with ERP systems, financial tools, and Excel/Sheets
- Can build models, dashboards, and KPIs
- Experience working with auditors, tax advisors, lenders, and insurance partners
- Proven track record improving processes and systems in growing organizations
- Strong communicator who can translate financial data into clear insights
- Entrepreneurial mindset with middle‑market interest
- Roll‑up-your-sleeves mentality and hands‑on approach
