The Assistant Treasurer for Applied Aerospace & Defense will play a critical role in managing the company's financial risk, liquidity, and banking relationships. Reporting directly to the CFO, this position will be instrumental in developing and implementing treasury policies, overseeing cash management activities, and supporting the strategic financial objectives of the organization within the complex aerospace and defense sector. The ideal candidate will have experience in treasury organizations, banking, or financial analyst roles, with potential for growth into a Treasurer role over time.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Cash Management
    :
    Oversee daily cash management activities, including cash flow projections, ensuring optimal liquidity and cash utilization across the organization.
  • Banking Relationships
    :
    Maintain and develop strong relationships with banking partners and financial institutions to ensure favorable terms and access to capital.
  • Credit Agreements
    :
    Manage the oversight of credit agreements, ensuring compliance with financial covenants and reporting requirements.
  • Equipment Leasing
    :
    Oversee equipment leasing arrangements, negotiating terms to align financing strategies with operational needs.
  • Financial Risk Management
    :
    Assist in identifying, evaluating, and mitigating financial risks, including foreign currency exposure and interest rate risk.
  • Financial Compliance and Reporting
    :
    Ensure compliance with internal treasury policies, external regulations, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Process Improvement
    :
    Identify opportunities to enhance treasury operations through automation and best practices.
  • Team Collaboration
    :
    Collaborate with accounting, finance, and legal teams on various projects, contributing to the overall financial strategy of the organization.
  • Acquisition Integration: Assess and integrate banking relationships, cash management processes, treasury controls, and financing arrangements of acquired entities.
  • Education
    :
    Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. An MBA or master’s degree is preferred.
  • Certifications
    :
    Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a plus.
  • Experience
    :
    Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in treasury, corporate finance, banking, or financial analyst roles, with a demonstrated ability to manage cash flow and banking relationships. Experience in the aerospace, defense, or related manufacturing industry is a significant plus.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting effectively with internal teams and external financial partners.
  • In-depth knowledge of treasury systems, financial instruments, and capital markets.
  • Familiarity with U.S. GAAP and relevant financial regulations.
