Synchrony's Business Leadership Program Summer Internship is a 10‑week paid assignment in one of our 10 Tracks. During the summer, each BLP Intern is provided with project work that is important to our business, and will be challenged to contribute to driving innovation for our future.

What You’ll Accomplish
This internship is for students who are looking to get a critical jump start on a career in Risk Management. You will work side by side with our experts to gain valuable hands‑on experience in assessing and managing company risks.
In the Risk Management BLP Internship, you may gain exposure across our business functions and risk functions, including:
- Credit Risk
- Operational Risk, including Model Risk
- Compliance
- Strategic Risk
- Model Market and Liquidity Risk

- Strong leadership skills, including the ability to lead projects of varying scope.
- Finance or accounting knowledge/experience.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to quality.
Basic Qualifications & Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Risk Management (preferred), Actuarial Science, Analytics, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or another relevant major.
- Excellent academic record (minimum overall 3.0 GPA).
- Available for 10 consecutive weeks during Internship (June‑August).
- Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
Additional Eligibility Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Background investigation and drug screen required.
- Must satisfy Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
- Geographic mobility:
Ability to relocate based on program direction.
Benefits:
Participants will receive full relocation benefits (if moving 50 miles or more) and fully furnished housing.
