YourRole
As a Post Closer, your primary responsibility will be to perform a thorough review and audit of closed loan files to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with investor guidelines. This role plays a critical part in clearing post-closing conditions and preparing files for investor delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Review and audit closed loan files for accuracy and completeness, including but not limited to the 1003, disclosure dates, document signatures, Right to Cancel, hazard insurance, property taxes, Closing Disclosures (CDs), and ALTA statements.
- Ensure all funding and closing conditions are met and that loan packages adhere to investor guidelines.
- Prepare and ship final loan packages for investor delivery, and follow up on outstanding or trailing documents.
- Communicate with internal teams and third parties to resolve discrepancies and obtain missing or corrected documentation.
- Maintain accurate system updates and stay informed of evolving investor requirements.
- Learn and stay current on investor requirements and assist with clearing investor post-closing conditions.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma required, college degree a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of mortgage lending experience, with a focus in post-closing or closing functions.
- Strong knowledge of investor guidelines and post-closing procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Knowledge of Encompass is a plus.
- Experience with Loan Origination Systems (LOS) preferred.
- Excellent analytical, organizational and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet hard deadlines.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
