About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Solutions Portfolio Manager (SPM) at Franklin Templeton Investment Solutions (FTIS) to develop and support custom portfolios and indexed strategies for our insurance clients. The role focuses on research, sales, marketing, and thought leadership to promote FTIS’s indexed solutions and ensure execution of the firm’s strategic plan.
ResponsibilitiesPrimary Responsibilities:
- Support FTIS’s market‑leading indexed solutions business, including Fixed Index Annuities (FIAs), Registered‑Index Linked Annuities (RILAs), Structured Notes, and Indexed Universal Life (IUL). This includes collaborating with the systematic solutions team to design products, reviewing market trends and client needs, developing marketing materials, responding to client inquiries, and working with distribution and sales teams to secure new mandates.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Support FTIS’s variable annuity and retirement business—sub‑advised, multi‑asset, and quantitative strategies within variable annuities, VITs, and target date funds.
- Utilize quantitative tools to construct custom portfolios based on client needs and defined parameters.
- Provide investment insight in collaboration with portfolio management, Client Solutions, and Systematic Solutions teams to enhance existing strategies and develop new client‑driven solutions.
- 5‑10 years of experience in multi‑asset investments, working with institutional and retail clients.
- Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, science, engineering, business administration, or economics preferred.
- Knowledge of systematic strategies and index‑linked insurance products (e.g., FIAs, RILAs) is a strong benefit.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Comfort with quantitative concepts and multi‑asset strategies.
- Experience using Bloomberg or other data platforms.
- Professional designations such as CFA are a plus.
- Strong work ethic and effective communication skills with clients and internal partners.
On‑site in New York City.
CompensationThe annual salary range is $140,000‑$200,000, with discretionary bonus, 401(k) plan, health insurance, and other benefits.
