Position: Credit Solutions Advisor - High Ridge

Job Overview

At Bank of America, the primary lending specialist works full time within a financial center to originate residential mortgage loans. The role focuses on delivering First Mortgage and Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) products in person or by telephone, along with supporting loan services such as Auto Loans, Credit Cards, and core banking products.

Key expectations include balancing sales performance, operational risk, and client relationship care while ensuring full compliance with the SAFE Act registration requirements for all residential mortgage loan originations.

Responsibilities
  • Provide personalized service and guidance to financial center clients across the full spectrum of borrowing and banking offerings.
  • Build and deepen relationships with new and existing clients by leveraging the bank’s capabilities.
  • Analyze clients’ financial needs and recommend financial services that best align with their priorities.
  • Present potential home lending solutions, submit mortgage applications, assist clients with supporting documentation, and communicate updates throughout the mortgage loan process via outbound calls, email, and online messaging.
  • Maintain outreach and pipeline management activities, conducting consistent follow‑ups to meet client needs.
  • Respond to client requests and refer to appropriate internal partners as required.
  • Partner with financial center leaders and market leaders to coach associates on delivering exceptional client experiences.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of mortgage origination experience or equivalent experience demonstrating client needs assessment, consultative sales, and relationship building.
  • Ability to actively listen to clients, determine their goals, and interact proactively.
  • Professional, effective, and confident communication skills in person and over the phone.
  • Critical thinking and financial analysis skills to advise clients on product/pricing policies and gather required information.
  • Strong customer service orientation with full end‑to‑end client experience and problem resolution capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Dedicated, enthusiastic, driven, performance‑oriented work ethic.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and/or extended hours as needed.
  • Team player and collaborator, translating knowledge into productive internal and external relationships.
  • Proficiency in technology and regulatory due diligence.
  • Commitment to professional ethics and compliance with all federal and state policies.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in a loan origination role within a retail environment and knowledge of Mortgage Products (Conventional, Jumbo, HELOC, Government).
  • Knowledge of credit and home lending requirements.
  • Experience in a financial center with goals met or exceeded.
  • Ability to analyze complex financial data and present alternatives.
  • Knowledge of banking products and services.
  • Strong time management and multitasking skills.
  • Understanding of structuring, processing, underwriting, and closing procedures.
  • Familiarity with Federal regulations, FHA and HUD guidelines.
  • Experience with other lending products (credit card, vehicle loans).
  • Strong computer skills including MS applications and laptop technology.

Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement:
High School Diploma / GED / Secondary School or equivalent.

Shift: 1st shift (United States of America)

Hours Per Week: 40

Pay & Benefits

Hourly Pay: $25.00 - $29.61 (based on experience, education, and skill set). Formulaic incentive plan eligible with monthly, quarterly, and/or annual incentive opportunities.
