Join us as a Vice President in FIG Coverage, Banks & Asset Management
  • You'll support the management and development of a portfolio of Financial Institutions Group clients, with a focus on banks, asset managers and other selected financial institutions.
  • You'll identify and develop new client opportunities, supporting Nat West Group's growth ambitions across the US financial institutions sector.

What you'll do

In this key role, you'll build and maintain strong relationships across key internal stakeholders, helping deliver the full breadth of the bank's capabilities to our chosen clients. You'll play an important part in supporting and executing our US FIG strategy, working with a portfolio of banks, asset managers and other financial institutions.

Working across all aspects of client coverage and origination, you'll help position Nat West Group as a trusted banking partner to both existing and prospective clients. You'll combine strong financial services knowledge with an understanding of client needs to identify opportunities, develop solutions and build long-term relationships.

You’ll also be:
  • Supporting origination activity for FIG clients across financing, risk management and transaction banking products, working closely with specialist product teams.
  • Driving commercial discussions with clients and helping position the bank as a leading partner in our core areas of strength.
  • Building relationships with external stakeholders, including industry associations, consultants, accounting firms, rating agencies and advisory partners, to maintain a strong market profile.
  • Developing FIG market insights and sector-led content that support client engagement and business development.
  • Assessing and executing financing opportunities, including lending, capital markets, liquidity, deposits and risk management solutions.
  • Supporting the delivery of strong portfolio returns while actively managing client relationships in line with the bank's risk appetite.
  • Preparing client materials, relationship plans and transaction opportunities for senior stakeholders.
  • Working closely with colleagues across Coverage, Debt Capital Markets, Rates, FX, Financing Solutions, Transaction Banking and Risk to deliver coordinated client outcomes.
The skills you'll need

We're looking for an experienced banking or financial services professional with strong FIG expertise. You'll bring a solid understanding of financial institutions, industry dynamics, credit considerations and stakeholder perspectives, enabling you to develop effective solutions that meet both client and business needs.

You'll have experience managing or supporting client relationships as a coverage banker, or equivalent experience within corporate finance, capital markets, transaction banking or product teams serving financial institutions. Knowledge of lending, Debt Capital Markets, Rates, FX, Cash Management and Trade Finance will be a strong advantage.

You’ll also need:
  • Knowledge across banking, asset management and the broader financial institutions sector.
  • A practical understanding of credit and wider risk management disciplines.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong networks internally and externally.
  • A track record of working collaboratively to deliver successful business outcomes.
  • Strong time management, project management and workflow management skills.
  • A proven ability to solve complex business and client challenges.
  • The ability to analyse financial institutions' business models, funding profiles, capital considerations and strategic priorities.

The expected base annual salary range for this position is $200,000 - $250,000 at the start of employment.
