We are currently looking for a Part-Time Loan Servicing Clerk who will be responsible for performing various administrative tasks, including processing of payoff requests/loan payment transactions, establishing new residential, commercial, consumer, and correspondent loans in applicable systems, and preparing and disbursing various departmental reports.
Work Hours:
10am - 2pm or 11am - 3pm, Monday through Friday.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Respond to customer and credit inquiries for both residential and business banking departments
- Set-up and enter new account information into on-line system
- Prepare correspondence, verify new account information, file required documentation, and maintain & update files as necessary
- Establish new loans in tax vendor's platform;
Update account numbers in flood vendor's platform upon loan booking - Log and respond to requests for payoff calculations; process and verify payoffs/payments made on loans
- Calculate amounts, prepare statements & releases, and prepare & return cancelled documents for residential and business banking departments
- Balance work and submit for further processing; recalculate payments for loan conversions
- Perform loan maintenance on a daily basis (renewals, modifications, charge offs, insurance tracking, etc);
Verify Loan Servicing Clerk's input into the core system on a daily basis under dual control - Update interest rates within the core system on a daily basis;
Originate wires for participation loans - Responsible for balancing inter-departmental General Ledger Accounts, Loans at Attorney, Loan Closing Suspense, Loan Payoff Suspense and Loan Payment Suspense; must perform research and document information as needed
- Complete reconcilements within a specific time frame and give copies to Loan Servicing Manager for review, as well as initialed copies to Bank Controller
- Prepare all incoming requests for credit verifications in accordance with department and Bank disclosure policies, including monthly/quarterly reports in alignment with department schedule
- Verify incoming clearing HELOC transactions with borrower on a daily basis
- Receive & respond to customer inquiries; research and resolve questions or refer to supervisor
- Compile & review periodic volume and activity reports and maintain/update applicable logs relating to complaints and fees assessed or waived
- Track and record vehicle titles;
Release e-titles - Provide support to Escrow Coordinator with homeowner's and/or flood insurance payments and with assessing/cancelling forced placed insurance;
Review various insurance reports under dual control - Support Commercial Lending as needed;
Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements/
Qualifications:
- Completion of High School Diploma or equivalent plus data entry/terminal experience and 1 year related office experience
- Proficient in data entry and use of on-line transaction processing system
- Familiarity with loan servicing terminology and procedures required
Wage range : $19.55/hour - $23.97/hour
