Senior Trader, Public Credit

Genworth is seeking a Senior Trader, Public Credit to lead trading across corporate and structured credit markets in support of our insurance-focused portfolios. You will execute trades, manage liquidity and transaction costs, and help shape strategy to optimize risk-adjusted returns. In this role, you'll partner closely with portfolio managers and analysts, leverage fundamental and quantitative insights, and ensure adherence to risk and compliance limits.

Responsibilities

• Lead trading activities across public credit markets to support portfolio objectives
• Execute trades efficiently while managing transaction costs and liquidity risk
• Analyze corporate and structured credit, spreads, and market technicals
• Collaborate with portfolio managers on trade ideas and portfolio positioning
• Monitor risk exposures, limits, and compliance with investment guidelines
• Develop and refine trading strategies using quantitative and fundamental inputs
• Maintain strong broker/dealer relationships and price discovery processes
• Produce market commentary and reporting for internal stakeholders
• Support process improvements, automation, and best execution practices
• Mentor junior trading and investment team members
