Quality Control Specialist

LHH is working on behalf of our fantastic client in Fairfield County, CT who has an immediate Quality Control Specialist staffing need. This role is 5 days in the office. The ideal candidate will have a mixed skillset of Section 8 Housing, understanding of internal audits of new contracts, annual re-certifications, and Housing Quality Standards Inspections (HQS) to assess accuracy of tenant eligibility, rent calculations and program compliance with Federal Regulations.

• Conducts field audits of Housing Quality Standards Inspections (HQS) to ensure U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) regulations and Section Eight Management Assessment Program (SEMAP) requirements are met.
• Prepares and submits reports of audit findings and recommends corrective action.
• Audits annual reexaminations of existing program participants to ensure all program allowances, tenant rent calculations, and allowed deductions are all applied in accordance with HUD regulations. Interprets and implements HUD regulations and guidelines.

• Bachelor's degree in public administration, urban planning, sociology or a related field.
• Experience working with PHA Web or other housing software is highly desirable.
• Must be detail oriented, ability to multi-task and perform efficiently in a fast-paced work environment.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Able to work independently.

Salary $70K - $80K DOE
