Overview
Senior Level Executive (Healthcare) We have been retained by a leading health system in Connecticut to identify its next Senior Level Executive / Operating Officer. This key organizational leader will drive operational excellence, support strategic growth initiatives, and ensure the highest standards of patient care across the system. The ideal candidate is a dynamic, relationship-oriented executive with deep operational expertise and a strong understanding of the healthcare industry.

- Operational Leadership:
Oversee and optimize operations across Operations, Facilities Management (including EVS, Dietary, and Security), Ambulatory Services, and Service Lines. - Strategic Execution:
Translate organizational goals into actionable plans, ensuring measurable outcomes and sustainable growth. - Physician & Stakeholder Engagement:
Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with physicians, physician leaders, and key stakeholders involved in PSAs, MSAs, and other partnership agreements. - Crisis Management:
Serve as the go-to leader during organizational challenges—demonstrating responsiveness, decisiveness, and commitment, including onsite presence when needed.
- Visionary Leadership:
Ability to inspire, motivate, and cultivate a positive, inclusive culture. - Change Agility:
Adapt quickly to evolving healthcare trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements. - Influence & Impact:
Demonstrated ability to lead transformative initiatives—examples may include hospital openings, service line launches, ambulatory growth, IT implementations (Epic, Oracle), and emergency response leadership. - Passion & Commitment:
Fully invested in the mission and values of the organization, with a clear sense of purpose as a healthcare leader.
- Comfortable engaging with the Board of Directors, providing strategic insights, and fostering trust.
- Prior board experience preferred; ability to represent the organization effectively at the governance level.
- Builds strong cross-functional relationships across the executive team and physician network.
- Actively participates in organizational events and community initiatives.
- Creates an environment of recognition and professional growth—developing future leaders and promoting internal talent.
- Strategic Planning & Execution:
Align operational plans with organizational vision. - Financial Acumen:
Expertise in budgeting, resource allocation, and financial analysis. - Data-Driven Decision Making:
Leverage analytics to monitor performance and drive improvement. - Operational Efficiency:
Streamline processes and enhance workflows across departments. - Change Management:
Lead complex transitions, including mergers and acquisitions. - Communication &
Collaboration:
Exceptional ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
- Master’s degree in Finance (MBA) or Healthcare Administration (MHA) or with a healthcare focus required.
- Minimum 10 years in senior leadership roles within large, complex healthcare organizations.
- Proven success in managing multi-faceted healthcare operations, including revenue cycle, quality management, patient care coordination, and IT systems.
