The Operating Room nurse will function in the circulating and/or scrub role in the Operating Room. This role will effectively deliver perioperative care to the surgical patients through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. The Operating Room nurse will gain experience working with advanced surgical technologies such as O-Arm, Intuitive Xi (newest version of the DaVinci Robot), Stryker spine navigation, ENT Technology, a Zeego Hybrid Room as well as cardiac surgeries.
The Staff RN will coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the Nursing Process and following all established standards of practice within State and Federal guidelines. Provide supervision of non-RN personnel and act as a resource for ancillary staff on assigned unit. Supervise unit activities when assigned to charge or clinical coordinator role. Act as preceptor to new staff and/or students as requested.

1) Valid license as Registered Nurse in Connecticut
2) Preferred 2 years OR experience
3) BSN
4) CNOR certification highly desirable
