As our Pediatric Medical Assistant
, you'll work closely with our pediatric providers and clinical team to help ensure every child receives safe, efficient, and compassionate care.
Your responsibilities include:
- Welcome patients and families with warmth, compassion, and professionalism
- Prepare exam rooms and ensure they are clean, organized, and properly stocked
- Room patients and obtain accurate vital signs, including height, weight, temperature, and other age-appropriate measurements
- Review and update medications, allergies, medical history, and other relevant patient information
- Assist providers during examinations, procedures, and treatments as needed
- Document clinical information accurately in the electronic medical record
- Provide families with appropriate forms, instructions, and educational materials as directed by providers
- Assist with prescription, referral, laboratory, and follow-up workflows as directed
- Communicate effectively with providers, front desk staff, and other clinical team members to maintain efficient patient flow
- Clean and disinfect exam rooms and clinical equipment between patients
- Monitor clinical inventory and notify appropriate staff when supplies need to be reordered
- Perform additional clinical and administrative duties to support daily office operations
- Medical Assistant training or relevant clinical experience required
- Medical Assistant certification/registration preferred
- Pediatric medical office experience is strongly preferred
- Spanish-speaking preferred
- Experience with electronic medical records (
eCW/eClinicalWorks preferred
) - Comfortable using computers and basic office applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required
