• Co-manage the security operations center with a focus on improving processes
• Handle incident management and lead response efforts
• Support firewall and network access control updates and strategy
• Work with other departments to align on security practices
• Oversee vulnerability management and threat hunting tasks
• Coach and develop a team of 4 security professionals
• Track budgets and help prioritize tools and tech investments
• Ensure all security efforts tie back to the organization's risk appetite and business goals
• Pivot and adapt to new challenges as they arise, with a flexible approach to tackling tasks
• Find ways to improve business success through cost management, efficiency, or revenue-generating opportunities

3-5 Must Have Skills/Qualifications

• Strong leadership skills, someone who’s done team development and is accomplishment driven
• do not want anything over a Sr. Director or CISO title
• Emphasis on security operations within their career
• Experience maturing security programs and building structure
• Solid understanding of vulnerability scoring like CVSS
• Expertise in vulnerability threat and risk assessments, with the ability to identify, prioritize, and mitigate risks
• Good grasp of security operations and risk management mindset
• Comfort working across all areas of security, not tied to one specific tool
• Strong with documentation, policies, and procedures, especially for aligning with the NIST cybersecurity framework
• Ability to align security goals with broader business needs and demonstrate business enablement acumen
