Sr. Data Scientist (Multiple Openings)

Develop data-driven solutions to provide insights in Business Intelligence (BI) reporting. Utilize analytical, statistical, and programming skills to clean, aggregate and analyze large data sets and interpret results and present data insights and recommendations to key stakeholders to help explore methods to improve their business. Utilize statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms to determine where to invest time, synthesize actionable findings across diverse assignments, and present findings to audiences with diverse agendas and varying levels of technical expertise.
Provide subject matter expertise for key BI Data Quality functions such as support for data related inquiries, identifying, researching, and analyzing potential risks to document solution requirements. Participate in the execution of the complete analytics life‑cycle for problem‑solving, including requirements gathering, problem formulation, data grooming, data exploration, model prototyping, model validation, and algorithm productionalization. Communicate complex data science solutions, concepts, and analyses in a clear and effective manner to team members and business leaders.
Establish links across existing data sources and find novel and interesting data correlations. Visualize and report data findings creatively in a variety of visual formats that appropriately provide insight to the stakeholders and explain the importance of patterns in the data. Ensure testing and validation are components of all analytics solutions.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Operations Research, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience performing data manipulation utilizing database functions, SQL stored procedures, Python, and shell scripting.
- 5 years of experience performing statistical modeling using correlation analysis, hypothesis testing, and using statistical functions such as mean, median, mode, standard deviations and z‑scores in SQL or Excel.
- 5 years of experience programming utilizing SQL.
- 5 years of experience programming using Python or R.
- 5 years of dashboarding experience including one of the following or a combination of Tableau, Power BI, or Micro Strategy.
- 3 years of experience using scheduling tools such as One Automation, Autosys, or Control‑M.
