IT Project Manager
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a Project Manager within an IT infrastructure environment supporting AV or Facilities Projects
- Experience managing multiple projects at a time
- Experience managing projects across the full IT lifecycle (initiation, requirements, design, build, test, closeout)
- Hands‑on experience supporting facility‑related IT deployments such as cabling, network infrastructure, and AV systems
- Strong documentation skills with experience managing project checkpoints, milestones, and reporting deliverables
- Experience coordinating with procurement teams and managing vendor relationships
- Proficiency with project tracking and reporting tools (Smartsheets preferred) including schedule management and weekly reporting cadence
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
- PMP certification
- Experience working within a formal PMO environment
- Background supporting office buildouts, facility retrofits, or construction‑adjacent IT projects
- Experience managing multi‑site or large‑scale infrastructure rollouts
- Familiarity with AV systems integration or conference room technology deployments
Insight Global is looking for an IT Project Manager to sit onsite in southeastern, CT 2-3 days/week. This person will manage end-to-end delivery of IT infrastructure projects within new and existing office buildings, including conference room buildouts and full facility retrofits. They will oversee installation and deployment of structured cabling, wireless access points, printers, timekeeping devices, and AV/conference room technologies and drive projects through the full IT lifecycle: initiation, requirements gathering, design, build, testing, and closeout.
They will coordinate cross-functional teams including IT, facilities and vendors to ensure timely project execution of multiple projects at a time. They will lead regular project status meetings and provide updates to stakeholders, ensuring alignment on milestones, risks, and deliverables.
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and reporting within Smartsheets for tracking progress and resource allocation.
Interface closely with procurement teams for equipment sourcing, vendor coordination, and contract alignment. Ensure all project documentation is completed, including checkpoints, milestone tracking, and final closeout documentation. Manage risks, issues, and dependencies across projects to ensure successful delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.
Compensation$45-60/hour
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
