Data Quality Engineer

We are seeking Sr. Data Quality Engineer to join our Data Readiness team. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating data quality, translating business rules into technical queries, and generating critical data readiness metrics. You will play a crucial part in ensuring the reliability of data from various ERP systems to drive business insights.

Data Quality Assessment:
Run comprehensive data quality assessments and generate data quality metrics to track trends week-over-week.

Rule Translation:
Translate data governance rules written in pure business language into executable queries, mapping them accurately to technical field names and tables in ERP systems.

Query Development:
Build simple to highly complex executable queries (including nested statements and complex joins) to define pass/fail criteria for data quality rules on specific datasets.

Data Architecture & Tracking:
Utilize Snowflake to store query results and maintain dedicated schemas to track data quality scores and performance trends over time.

Ad-Hoc Analysis:
Respond to ad-hoc analytical requests and design sessions by logically investigating and troubleshooting complex data scenarios, which may involve deep-dive analysis lasting several hours.

Technical Stack:
Strong expertise in Snowflake, along with advanced proficiency in SQL and/or Python for scripting and data manipulation.

ERP Systems Knowledge:
Basic to advanced understanding of technical fields and table structures across ERP platforms such as SAP, JDA, or other non-SAP systems.

Analytical Mindset:
Exceptional logical reasoning and investigative skills to tackle unstructured ad-hoc requests requiring deep analysis and complex joins.
