The workAs a Cyber Systems Security Engineer Sr, you will support the integration of modern cybersecurity solutions across multiple Owego programs, ensuring our systems remain effective and resilient against evolving threats.
Key responsibilities- Cybersecurity Design & Implementation: Support the decomposition of Statements of Work (SOW) into actionable cybersecurity solutions. Design and oversee the implementation of critical cybersecurity capabilities.
- Collaboration & Strategy Development: Work with internal and external teams to enhance Cyber Resiliency across a portfolio of Owego programs.
- Cybersecurity Leadership: Lead the effort to streamline the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process and accelerate Authority to Operate (ATO) approvals.
- Security Lifecycle Oversight: Oversee the development of cybersecurity artifacts, ensuring compliance with industry standards like NIST 800‑53. Lead efforts to achieve and maintain ATO for systems and technologies.
This position requires the ability to maintain a government DoD SECRET level clearance. This position is onsite in Owego, NY.

- Have a proven track record of achieving system Authority to Operate (ATO) and driving compliance in complex environments.

Desired skills- Engineering bachelor's degree with 5 years experience.
- Experience using Security Center/ACAS – Assured Compliance Assessment Solution.
- Scripting experience (e.g. Python, Bash, Power Shell).
- Strongly written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with RTCA DO-356.
- Experience navigating and securing Linux and Windows.
- Ability to analyze security reports and mitigate security vulnerabilities.
