Your 'day to day':This role sits at the center of enterprise growth strategy—owning the "big picture" view of consumer demand, portfolio architecture, and future growth opportunities. The Sr. Manager will translate complex consumer, category, and marketplace intelligence into clear, actionable strategies that shape long-range planning, demand prioritization, and portfolio evolution, while ensuring insights are activated across the business. Acting as both a strategic insights leader and a cross-functional operator, this role drives alignment across Brand, Innovation, Commercial, and Strategy teams, enabling more effective planning, stronger portfolio decisions, and a future-focused view on where growth will come from.
- Lead demand landscape and portfolio insights, translating large, complex datasets into clear growth frameworks and strategic direction.
- Own consumer segmentation and demand space mapping, ensuring outputs are actionable and embedded into annual and long-range planning.
- Synthesize diverse inputs—consumer research, category trends, cultural signals, competitive intelligence, and macro factors—into clear strategic recommendations.
- Frame and answer the most critical growth questions, proactively surfacing opportunities and risks ahead of the business.
- Partner cross-functionally (Brand, Innovation, Commercial, Finance, Strategy) to embed insights into GTM plans, innovation pipelines, and portfolio decisions.
- Track emerging consumer behaviors, marketplace shifts, and forward-looking trends to inform future-focused growth strategy and foresight.
- Extract and activate value from underutilized data assets and high-investment studies, driving measurable business impact.
- Develop compelling executive-level narratives, frameworks, and presentations that influence senior leadership decisions.
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Commutable distance to Stamford, CT.
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA, strategy consulting, or agency planning background preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in consumer insights, strategy, or consulting, ideally within CPG or a consumer-driven or regulated industry.
- Deep expertise in segmentation, demand spaces, and portfolio strategy, with a track record of making insights actionable at scale.
- Strong strategic problem solver who can synthesize complex and sometimes conflicting inputs into a clear point of view while managing multiple work streams to ensure planning processes run effectively.
- Advanced analytical capabilities with experience working across extensive, intricate data collections and extracting meaningful insights.
- Outstanding storytelling and executive communication skills, with the ability to operate cross-functionally, simplify complexity, drive alignment across multiple teams without direct authority, and influence senior collaborators.
- Forward-looking mindset with experience leveraging trends, foresight, or cultural signals to shape future strategy.
- Be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
