Senior Information Technology Business Analyst

A growing and highly collaborative investment management firm is seeking a Business Analyst to help drive technology initiatives, process improvements, and business transformation projects across the organization. This position will partner closely with both business and technology teams to identify opportunities for operational improvement, gather and document requirements, coordinate projects, and ensure technology solutions align with strategic business objectives.

The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with stakeholders across multiple departments to improve workflows, enhance systems, and support technology-driven change.

• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to understand objectives, gather requirements, and support the delivery of strategic initiatives.
• Analyze existing business processes, workflows, and systems to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for enhancement.
• Document business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, and process flows.
• Assist with project planning, scope definition, prioritization, and execution of technology-related initiatives.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to support system enhancements, managed services, and ongoing platform improvements.
• Perform requirements analysis and facilitate discussions to ensure stakeholder needs are accurately captured and communicated.
• Support testing activities, including user acceptance testing (UAT), data validation, and defect tracking.
• Monitor project progress and help drive initiatives through completion while managing competing priorities and deadlines.
• Develop process documentation and workflow maps to improve operational efficiency and support future-state planning.
• Evaluate opportunities to leverage automation, AI capabilities, and emerging technologies to streamline business processes and improve productivity.

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience gathering, documenting, and managing business and functional requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business challenges into practical solutions.
• Experience conducting data validation, testing, and business process analysis.
• Technical aptitude with tools such as Excel, SQL, and other reporting or analytical platforms.
• Experience working with JIRA or similar project management, service management, or ticketing systems.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience supporting technology initiatives within financial services, investment management, asset management, banking, or other regulated industries.
• Exposure to project management methodologies, business process improvement initiatives, and software implementation projects.
• Experience leveraging automation, workflow optimization, or AI-enabled solutions to improve business operations.
• Familiarity with vendor management and third-party technology relationships.
• Knowledge of data analysis, reporting, and operational metrics.
