IT Project Manager
Our client, a telecommunications company located in Stamford, CT, is in need of a Project Manager for a 12 month contract. The Project Manager will work onsite 4 days per week, one day remote, as part of a highly visible position tied to a large-scale merger initiative. The Project Manager will manage the full project lifecycle from project definition through implementation, ensuring alignment to scope, cost, schedule, and quality measures.
Responsibilities include developing and driving detailed project plans, establishing communication strategies with stakeholders, providing day-to-day direction to project resources, and ensuring effective change management throughout the project. This individual will oversee readiness critical milestones tied to initiatives such as WiFi, Internet, and device swaps, while ensuring testing, training, communications, and customer operations functions remain aligned. Additional responsibilities include preparing documentation, status reports, and budgets.
RequiredSkills
- 8+ years of Project or Program Management experience within large enterprise environments
- Proven ability to manage the full project lifecycle from definition through implementation
- Experience creating complex project plans with dependencies and driving milestones with minimal oversight
- Strong executive-level communication skills, particularly via email and Power Point
- Demonstrated experience identifying RAID items and driving them to closure
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders
- Advanced proficiency with MS Project, Visio, Excel, and Word
- Strong leadership, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Telecom industry experience
- Experience supporting mergers, integrations, or large-scale transformation programs
- PMP, PgMP, or similar certification
