Founding Head of Operations – Drive-ThruWe are launching a new drive-thru concept and are looking for a Head of Operations to lead the opening of our first location. This is a highly hands‑on leadership role for an experienced restaurant operator who thrives in early‑stage environments and wants to build a brand from the ground up.
You will work directly with the Founder/CEO and play a critical role in turning the concept into a fully operational, high‑performing drive‑thru. From pre‑opening planning through stabilization, you will be accountable for building systems, training teams, and setting the operational standard that future locations will follow. For the right individual, this role is designed to grow into a Brand President position as the concept scales.
Key ResponsibilitiesPre‑Opening Leadership
- Lead all operational planning for the first drive‑thru location, including staffing models, workflows, and service standards
- Recruit, hire, and onboard the full opening team, from hourly staff to shift leads and managers
- Develop and implement SOPs, training programs, and opening playbooks
- Partner with ownership on menu execution, equipment readiness, and operational setup
- Conduct dry runs, soft opens, and speed‑of‑service testing to ensure readiness for opening
Opening & Stabilization
- Be on‑site and fully accountable for day‑to‑day operations during launch and ramp‑up
- Own speed of service, order accuracy, food quality, cleanliness, and guest experience
- Coach, develop, and hold the leadership team accountable to standards
- Identify operational gaps and inefficiencies and implement solutions in real time
- Establish routines, checklists, and performance rhythms that ensure consistency
Performance & Growth
- Track and report key operating metrics including labor, throughput, and execution standards
- Continuously refine systems to improve efficiency, profitability, and team performance
- Set the foundation for scalable operations across future drive‑thru locations
- 5+ years of restaurant operations experience, with QSR, fast‑casual, or drive‑thru experience
- Proven experience opening restaurants or leading a major operational launch
- Highly hands‑on leader comfortable working on‑site and in the operation
- Strong people manager with a focus on training, accountability, and team development
- Organized, detail‑oriented, and calm under pressure
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build structure in a fast‑moving environment
This is a founding leadership role with a clear growth path. As additional drive‑thru locations are developed, this position can evolve into Head of Drive‑Thru Operations and ultimately Brand President, based on performance and execution.
