Entry-Level Production Associate Job Description
This entry-level role focuses on performing weigh‑up and packaging duties within a fast‑paced production department. You help ensure that products meet quality standards, customer specifications, and delivery requirements while supporting efficient manufacturing operations in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Responsibilities- Perform weigh‑up and packaging tasks within the production department in accordance with work instructions and safety protocols.
- Operate within a manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environment to support general production and shipping activities.
- Follow detailed work instructions to ensure consistent product quality and adherence to customer specifications.
- Handle materials and products safely, including lifting items up to 50 lbs. as needed throughout the shift.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to support efficient workflow and safe operations.
- Support shipping and warehouse functions by preparing products for distribution and ensuring accurate packaging and labeling.
- Monitor products during the packaging process to maintain high quality standards and identify any defects or issues.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and delivery requirements.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment and safe work practices.
- Participate in cross‑training opportunities to learn additional tasks and support different areas of production as needed.
- 1+ year of experience in an industrial setting.
- Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to follow detailed work instructions.
- Ability to follow all safety protocols and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail in performing weigh‑up, packaging, and general production tasks.
- Comfort working in a production, warehouse, or distribution environment.
- Reliability and willingness to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented setting.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in general labor, production, or warehouse distribution roles.
- Background in shipping or logistics support within an industrial environment.
- Interest in cross‑training and developing skills across multiple production functions.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Stamford, CT.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
